Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism Policy

Ensuring Academic Integrity and Originality

Indonesian Journal of Career Education and Employability (IJCEE) maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding plagiarism. Every manuscript submitted to IJCEE is rigorously screened for plagiarism before the peer-review process begins and prior to final publication.

Screening Tool

IJCEE utilizes Turnitin or iThenticate as the primary software to detect similarities and potential plagiarism in all submitted manuscripts.

< 20%
Similarity Threshold

Policy Guidelines

  • Similarity Index: The maximum allowed similarity index is 20%. If a manuscript exceeds this threshold, it will be returned to the author for revision or rejected immediately.
  • Single Source Limitation: Similarity to a single source must not exceed 3% - 5%, even if the total index is below 20%.
  • Self-Plagiarism: Authors must not reuse significant portions of their own previously published work without proper citation (text recycling).
  • Forms of Plagiarism: This includes direct copying of text, paraphrasing without credit, "patchwork" plagiarism, and improper citation of data or ideas.

Action Against Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected after publication, the journal will conduct an investigation in accordance with the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. If proven, the article may be formally retracted, and a notice of retraction will be publicly issued.

Authors are encouraged to check their manuscripts using plagiarism detection software before submission to IJCEE.
